Should I retake the SATs?

Hi,

I'm a student at Worcester Polytechnic and I've thought about trying to transfer to Duke U, U Penn, and Johns Hopkins next year, and my GPA is a 3.76.

My SAT is 2170. Is that going to hurt me when it comes to transfer applications? Should I try to retake them?

Don’t waste your time.

Nope, won’t hurt you, and with at least a year of college under your belt, most colleges aren’t going to consider it very heavily anyway. It’ll still be looked at, but it won’t matter very much, especially with such a high college GPA.

When I was transferring, most colleges I looked at actively discouraged students from retaking because it’s so pointless. SATs predict your first year of college, and you’ve already done that, so…don’t worry. :)

Thanks guys.
