Should I retake the SATs?

Hi guys! I'm a longtime lurker of CC, and today, I finally decided to create an account.

So here are my standardized test scores:
SAT first time: 670/670/700 CR/M/WR
Second time: 720/720/680
Highest score across all dates: 2140
Highest in one sitting: 2120

ACT: 35 (34/35/35/35 English/Math/Reading/Science, 31 English + Essay)

I'm tempted to retake the SAT after studying this summer because I've heard that colleges place greater weight on SAT scores, but I really don't want to sit through the test again and get a score that's 30 points higher.

So, I ask, should I study all summer and retake the SAT or should I get involved in volunteering instead?

If you already know you can only get 30 points higher, it is defnitely a waste of time.

your ACT grade is phenomenal. i think your good. i believe they look at the higher of the two anyway

I know I can do better (77/75 CR/M on the PSAT), but I think that my ACT score makes up for it?

I want to get into a ‘big name’ school, or at least a public ivy.

Just report your ACT score. It is excellent.

nice ACT score! just report that! that ACT= 2320 SAT.

(Can someone confirm that for me?)

Thanks everyone!

The thing is, what if the college recommends SAT subject tests, and I have good subject test scores (+750)? From what I understand, sending SAT subject test scores will send all of my SAT scores. Will the admission people look at both my SAT and ACT, or will they only consider my ACT score? Or should I let my AP scores speak for themselves?
