I took the US History Subject Test and got a 540, then retook it and got 580. I took the Literature Subject Test and got a 600. I'm planning on retaking the Literature after I take AP Literature, but should I retake US once again, or should I move on and take a totally different test (planning on taking Math 2 in June)?

I think you should probably move on, since your second US score wasn't a huge improvement over the first. Take tests in whichever subjects you know you are good at. If you're good at math or science, take Math II or Physics or something! Also retake the Lit test, but, likewise, if you don't improve much, don't take it a third time (it is one of the hardest subject tests) Good luck! I hope you get 700+ in everything =)

It depends on how much you prepare. If you work super hard and study like crazy, then you'll likely see an increase in your score. If you're just looking for a subject test that you can get a high score without much effort, let the rest of us know if you find one! ;)

To the OP:

Are you better in math/science or history/literature?

I absolutely hate math, but I love both history and literature.

I took the Lit. SAT II and got a 700, while I scored 730 on the USH SAT II. I had just completed AP English 12 and AP U.S. History, but those are still my best subjects.

Your literature score is certainly not bad, as it is above average. However, I think that if math or science is your strong suit, you will ace both tests. :)

Good luck!

move on and try math 2. it's hard but extremely easy to get a 700 on.

If you study between now and then and are fairly certain you can do better, I would retake it. But I don't think just retaking it will do much for you.
