Should I retake US History? Which science is relatively easy?

Hi, I'm a rising junior and I took SAT II US History in June. I got 760, and I'm wondering if I should take it again. I don't think I would want to do so, since I'm so fed up with US History. The other option is taking a science subject at the end of my junior year. I'm planning to take either IB SL Chem or Physics, so I'll probably end up taking either SAT II Chem or Physics. Does anyone know which one of the two is relatively easier? I'm not seeking for a wily way out; I'm just not that great at science.

Cheers

No, you shouldn’t take history again, especially if you’re tired of it. 760 is a good score.

Instead, you should take one of the sciences. I haven’t taken either, so I con’t give you any advice there. I’m kind of wondering the same thing since I;m planning on taking physics.

I think Chem is easier
I’ve onyl taken Chem and Bio so I can’t really be sure, but i’ve heard it goes (from hardest to easiest) physics, chem, bio

I think 760 is in the 90th percentile already.

No advice for the sciences. I’ve heard bio is the easiest.

90th percentile isnt good enough for higher tier colleges. When the applicant pool is in the top 10-20th percentile, a 760 suddenly becomes the norm.

Its not a bad score, but its not a wow score either.

90th percentile on the US History SAT is fine. The principle of self selection essentially weeds out those who are not good at history from taking the test in the first place. 90th percentile on the SAT reasoning, on the other hand, is much less of an achievement.

^^^yeah b/c more ppl take the SAT than the subject tests. A 760 vs. 800 will not make a difference…unless history is what you want to major in.

Physics has an insanely lenient curve.

i say go for physics, its a lot easier and the curve is also more lenient.
I’ve taken all 3 AP sciences, and IMO its goes
Chem, Physics, Bio

well, i think, that if you’re ‘not so great at science’ i would take bio.
but then if its between chem and phys, i would go with chem because phys is the kind of science that you’re good at if you’re ‘good at science’
if that makes any sense
although chem isnt the easiest
but i would go for chem

Retaking a 760 is stupid no matter where you’re going.
