Should I retake?

My test scores:
Math 2: 770
Chemistry: 750

SAT #1:
CR 580
M 750
W 610 (59 MC, 9 E)

SAT #2:
CR 620
M 720
W 650 (68 MC, 7 E)

I'm a rising Senior planning to take the SAT again in October and (possibly) the ACT in September. Is this a good idea? What do you guys think?

I'm looking at pretty top schools (not ivies, but Northwestern, WashU) and I think I'll really need to get my SAT up with only a 3.5 GPA. But even with a high SAT, ik I have a low GPA. So is it worth it to retake when I have a low shot at top schools anyway?

Oops meant to post this in the SAT Prep forum

Try the ACT before taking the SAT again. You never know, it may be a better fit for you. Perhaps just a practice test from a previous ACT exam. The 1990 is really good, but you never know about the ACT exam. Try it out and see, if you’re going to take the SAT again, prepare a lot to make a big difference if you’re applying to top schools.
