I got a 2310 on the SAT with a 790 in reading, 770 in math, and 750 writing (10 essay). Would it be worth retaking to get an 800 in math, or should I just be content with this?

I do not recommend it, unless . I know this because I also got a 770 in math, and have received similar advice… Your score makes you a qualified candidate at any school. And a 790 CR will be still be the most impressive part of your score, even if you get an 800 in math

Also, the first time I took the SAT (sophomore year), I made a 2070 (CR 730, M 710, W 630 w/8 essay). Will this look bad to colleges?

So was it your second time taking the SAT?
With a 2310, you are done.
It will actually be detrimental to you if you take it one more time.

Yeah, it was my second time.

June, 2013 first time and January, 2014 second time

But will the initial 2070 look bad at all?

That should be OK as you took it a year ago.
Your second sitting showed that you improved.

So it won’t really be a detriment?

No. Why would it be detrimental. It shows that you improved. Stop worrying over trivial things. That won’t make or break your app.
