Should I retake?

Heey guys on the SAT I got a 720/750/680 and a 720/700/780 the first and second time. I'm aiming for Ivies, so should I retake the SAT to try to go for higher, or nah? What are all the possible scenarios here? If someone could detail them out for me with reasoning, that would be great. Thanks so much!!1

You already have a 2250 superscore, which is very good. You’re not likely to increase that math score above 780, and your writing score went down the second time. I don’t think I’d retake in your situation. You might try taking the ACT just to see how you do on that.

@Hunt I bombed the ACT and never will take it again; it’s just not for me. My main concern, I should rephrase, is what if I get a higher CR score but a lower composite score for the 3rd try? Would Ivies look at that and ding me? If someone could reason this out for me…

Most of the most selective schools “superscore,” meaning that they look at the highest composite of all the times you take the test. Some of them do require you to submit all scores, so they will see what you actually scored. If (as I assume you are saying) you only took the test twice so far, and want to take it once more in the fall of your senior year, I don’t think that’s too many times. I just think, looking at your scores, that you’re not too likely to do better. You already got the same CR score twice.

@Hunt And just for clarification is it true colleges weigh CR and Math more? how will a 720/700 and 720/750 look to them?
