Should I retake?

First SAT:
CR - 710
M - 610
W - 620 (MC: 65, Essay: 7)
Total - 1940

Second SAT:
CR - 640
M - 590
W - 770 (MC: 80, Essay: 8)
Total - 2000

I am not looking at any elite schools. I am interested in mainly LACs in Pennsylvania so Franklin & Marshall, Dickinson, Bryn Mawr, etc, and my scores fit in with most of their score averages. Should I practice and study over the summer and take the SAT again in the fall or would that be too many tries?

If you feel you can improve significantly, go for it. Otherwise, since your scores match pretty well already (esp. with a superscore of 2090, if those colleges superscore), it shouldn’t be necessary.

Holy crap nice improvement on the writing section!!
I would only retake if the other sections of your app are lacking (like EC’s, GPA, class rank, you know)
