I'm a rising senior, and I'm looking primarily at Rice, but will be applying to a few other high-ranked colleges as well.

Scores:

1st SAT Test:
CR: 660
M: 690
W: 710 (10)

2nd SAT Test:
CR: 620
M: 750
W: 710 (8)

So, SAT superscored is 2120.

SAT IIs:
Chem: 760
Lit: 730
Math I: 730

ACT:
English: 34 (8)
Reading: 35
Math: 35
Science: 35
Combined: 35

Anyway, the whole story is this: I never expected to get that high a score on my ACT. It just seemed so... easy. Apparently, that's equivalent to a 2340 on the SAT, but I find this hard to believe. I'm also concerned that my relatively low essay scores are going to hurt me.

I know I don't need to retake the ACT. However, should I take the SAT again and try to up my CR score or something? I always miss the passage questions and have done well on the sentence completions. I'm just thinking there are better uses of my time (and money) than taking the SAT yet again when I know I can't possibly beat its equivalent(?) ACT score.

I'm also wondering if I should look into taking Math IIC SAT II.

Thanks in advance. I'd ask my counselor, but she's not very well informed.
