Will it make much of a difference if I retake it and get a higher score? I heard that Ivy League colleges will consider anything above a 700 and I have that...What does everyone think?

Mifune has a created a thread (http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-preparation/865226-addressing-few-concerns.html) in which he included a research about SAT scores: the higher your SAT score, the higher your chances (exponentially).

Ivy League does consider anything above 700, and if you want to increase your chances, go ahead and retake. However, you have to volunteer, take AP/IB classes, participate in EC, etc. since these factors also increase admission chances.

Every applicant is considered; there is no threshold for consideration or for admittance. The higher your score, the better.

well then, i guess i am retaking the test, which is ridiculous to the people that i know.
