Okay so I just got my SAT I results from June today, and I got a 2290, which is an improvement from my first one which was a 2170. I'm really satisfied with my score, but I can't get over the fact that 2290 is my superscore (each of the sections from this 2nd test were my highest scores). I like 2290 as a "one-sitting" score, but not as a superscore. Should I retake this fall at the beginning of my senior year, or am I being too picky here?

I think you’re being very picky but it IS very close to a 2300. I think you can go either way here. 3 times is an acceptable number of times to take the test but a 2290 is an excellent score but a 10 point improvement is very possible. Your call here.

My only problem with my score, as I’ve already stated, is that it IS my superscore. Roaming around CC, I see many people who have lower scores than mine at one sitting, but their superscored score is much higher, around 2350.

2290 is close enough to 2300. I won’t waste my time trying to retake in the fall considering you’ll probably be busy w/applications and other college stuff.

Superscore is stupid. Single-sitting is more important.
