I have to make a decision and I need some advice. I’m an average student who plans on focusing on my studies completely in college. I’m going to college for engineering. I got into CU Boulder’s Exploratory studies and I COULD after my freshman year use the IUT program to get into Engineering. OR I could go to Michigan State or UConn where I’ve been already accepted to their engineering programs. I plan on being involved with research wherever I go. I like the idea of going to CU Boulder and working my ass off to get into engineering, but I’m also from a small town in New England and know homesickness might hit me hard. I also have a learning disability which makes me get distracted easily. I have plans to keep myself on track, but I’m just worried about taking this next step. So please reach out with some advice and reassurance, it’ll really help.
I would suggest you attend one of the schools that you’re accepted into engineering. There are too many what ifs that could derail your studies and cause you to not get into CU’s engineering school.
If you like Colorado and Boulder, then look for internships or come out and get a job after graduation. The Rockies will still be here.
