Should I rush as a junior??

I'm a sophomore at USC now and I'm thinking about rushing a sorority next fall as a junior. I'm really happy with my experience so far here at USC and I love the friends I've made, but I sometimes feel like I'm missing out by not being in the greek system. I just like the idea that I would always have a group of people who will always be there, you know?

I know that it'll be harder as a junior and I probably don't have a chance at getting in any of the top houses, but do you think I should go for it anyway? Do juniors get bids? I heard that most juniors who rush get bids because the bids were already "reserved" for them because they know the president or something. Do the juniors who don't know people get bids?

Thanks for your help!

You never know until you try. This year the houses had a few spots for juniors that didn’t count against total. The “worst” thing that can happen is that you meet some new people. Please remember that SDT doesn’t do formal recruitment. So keep your eyes open and have fun. Good luck.
