Next year I'll be a senior after 3 years at my university. I went through the informal recruitment process for one sorority this spring and didn't receive a bid. My university allows undergraduates of any class to rush but I don't know who sororities usually accept into their house. I want to try again next fall (where I get to socialize with all 12) but I don't know if it's a good idea. I'll be finished with my degree by spring 2015. Honestly, I wanted to rush previously but was afraid of being judged but the people who I've met who are apart of Greek Life changed my outlook. Any advice would greatly be appreciated.

IMO, you’re too late. Don’t bother.

I personally think it’s too late but if you really want to, there’s no reason not to. The issue of course is that you’ll never actually be a sister in college, you’ll finish pledging and then graduate. If the house is limited in the number of pledges they can accept then they will probably pass over you since you waste a spot for a girl who will be there for 3 more years.

Our school does spring rush but allows fall rush/pledging for non freshman so we had a guy pledge his junior fall, giving him 1.5 years of brotherhood in college. I don’t really remember his reasons why but he’s a good friend of mine and I’m definitely glad he was around so it’s not like it’s automatically a bad idea.
