I am in regular College-Prep Physics as an 11th Grader. I want to major in Mathematics/Applied Science B.S. at either UCSD or UCLA before a couple years at community college. I want to be good in math and science. I go to a school where we have 4X4 system: 4 classes in fall, and 4 classes in spring. I am aware the college board is phasing out AP Physics B next year. My question is: Is it possible to take AP Physics 2 while self studying AP Physics 1 as a senior? I don’t have any room in my fall schedule, thats why i want to self study AP Physics 1. These are the only AP’s i am taking, i want an AP behind my belt to get the experience. I am in special ed and my case manager won’t let me take ANY AP Classes because she doesn’t think I’m capable, which makes me mad. I currently have a B in College Prep Physics, and the only reason is because of stress. But i think that with time management, i can ace both Physics 1 and 2 and take the SAT Physics in June.
