I’m taking 2 AP classes right now (Bio and Chem,) and I think I’ll do well enough in chem, although bio’s a different situation with the new test and all. I’m taking an Honors World History class since my school doesn’t offer APWH, and I’m doing pretty well in it, but I’m not sure whether or not to self-study the exam.

My class is a bit behind (we just took a unit test on the 1750-1914 era today,) and I’m not sure how much time I’ll have to invest in this. I have the Princeton Review book and Stearns textbook, and my teacher (who used to teach APWH) thinks I can do it, but I’m just worried about time commitment.

How much time a day would it take to properly self-study for the test if I start today/tomorrow?

I am currently attempting to self-study APWH and having quite some difficulty managing my time. If you have experience with the essays or feel as though you will be able to nail the essays in the next month then go for it! Don’t read through all of Stearns (unless you have already been reading as part of your world history class). Get a prep book from Barron’s or PR. I am currently using an old free version of 5 Steps to a 5 to learn all of the important material. PM me if you would like the 5 Steps to a 5 file.

How would you suggest preparing for the FRQ? We’ve done two practice DBQs in our class, but we haven’t gotten them back (and I doubt we ever will.) Although I think I’m more scared of not knowing the topics for the Continuities/CCOT essays and being unable to write a good enough essay :/

I am having quite some difficulty learning the FRQ’s myself. I don’t really have many resources on them. However Ms.Pugh’s AP World History website has some essay tips which I recently reviewed. You might want to start there, but I don’t know where you go from there. Check the [thread=1349078]Official AP World History thread [/thread] for this year for some resources another user recommended (I actually inquired about FRQ’s there).
