Hi all,
There’s a good chance I will have a 3.76 at the midterm. For colleges I am applying to that do not require it, such as Rice, Northwestern, UChicago, and Williams, would this significantly help or detract from my profile? I know these are very competitive schools, and they may have numbers much higher than these. Any thoughts?
What’s the GPA you had when you submitted your transcript?
^ if it’s around the same it would only help because it shows you’re not slacking off
I would say send it, unless the mid-term report is lower for some reason. If they don’t care about it, they’ll toss it. No harm no foul.
@philbegas 3.7
@philbegas thanks!
How are you sending your Midterm Report? Did you ask all your professors to sign the paper and mail it, or is there a way to send it digitally?
@BillShakespeare can send it digitally; my dean is filling it out for me and emailing it I believe.
How though? The form requires professor signatures for each class, so is your dean contacting them on your behalf and filling it out?
I was planning on getting my profs to sign off, and then photocopying the form and physically mailing it out to all my schools/digitally uploading it to schools that have a doc upload portal. Do you think that’s acceptable?
@BillShakespeare I would call your schools to find out.
@BillShakespeare yeah that’s what I did and that turned out fine. Tulane didn’t accept it online from me, so then get your counselor/dean to send it. They were the only school though.
@SeinfieldFan1 Took your advice and most of my schools said I could email it to them and the others did to use the doc portal, so that’s all take care of now. Fortunately didn’t need to snail mail a single one!
