Should we add score?
A 27 in ACT Math for an engineering major is right in the middle. I’ve attached a link to the most recent common data set for PSU UP. 53% of admitted students had between a 24-29 on the Math ACT. The Middle 50% ACT Math section is between 24-30, so your 27 is right in the middle. Your total ACT score is good, but I’ve heard depending on which college you apply they look at the individual sections more - liberal arts weigh the verbal sections more; engineering/science/business weigh the math sections more. If you were my child, I’d send the score. It shows that you are competitive with at least half of the admitted students from last year. Good luck!

YES! Your ACT is high for Penn State. Your grades are fantastic, and they know that some people just don’t test as well as others, and they understand that some people didn’t get a chance to take a second test. Send it.
thank you very much!
