Should I send a 780 SAT II score?

Owing to some unforeseen reason, I scored a 780 on the SAT II Chemistry exam. I am quite infuriated with myself --

I already have two SAT Subject test scores of 800. Should I send the Chemistry score to colleges?

I should perform self immolation as protest of this thread and all similar threads and the people who make them.

“Owing to some unforeseen reason”

Actually, it’s owing to you got answers wrong.

^ This Guy made me laugh!!

@halcyonheather

I know; it’s just that I wasn’t expecting to get the ~8 questions wrong that would bring me down to a 780.

Don’t send it. Save face.

a 780! forget sending SAT scores, you’re headed to community college.

in other words, a 780 is an incredible score, and you should be happy about it

OMIGOSH, stressed! You could’ve said it in a nicer way. Now OP is gonna cry…

Damn my 2390. Now Harvard will surely reject me

No, don’t send it. You’re never going to college because of those 20 points you never got.

alright OP. I think it’s time to point out, in case you haven’t caught on, everyone’s being sarcastic, and it’s gone a bit overboard  a 780 is amazing, like I said, and you should be celebrating it

I realize that a 780 is a good score by normal standards, but it seems that every competitive applicant to top schools has an 800.

once you get 750+, your specific score doesn’t really matter much

No, a 780 is normal by CC standards, which is made up of crazy people…in other words, the 1%…send the dang score.

Jeez.

No, it sucks. What are you thinking, getting a 780??

no. 780 is horrible. you should be getting 900 every time

I honestly hate this mentality on CC. I hardly think any HYP or similar school would ever want someone who is so focused on something as menial as getting 20 points away from a perfect score on an SAT ii. Do yourself a favor and realize that a 780 confirms your academic potential and puts you in the range for top schools, and spend your time valuing real education, opportunity, and commitment. Whining about a 780 does NOT display these qualities.

In all seriousness, you’ve ruined all prospects of having a solid string of 800s on your college resume. How shameful.

I agree with stressedouttt, community college it is.

And if you created this thread to secretly receive validation for a good score, then you should be ashamed of yourself and really begin to question your outward locus of identity

Fishing for compliments, I see?
