I've taken only sat 2 on maths lvl 2 (760) and physics (780). Probably will retake them aiming for 800. Anyway, I was thinking whether i should send all my sat scores, or only the ones that I choose. What do you think?

Also, in the score report by collegeboard, does it say that the score I send is only ONE of my scores??

i think you can choose to just send the ones you want when you send them to colleges. (unless your colleges specifically ask for all scores)

also, those are close enough to 800 anyways, you dont really need to retake. Have you taken the SAT I yet? If not, id just prepare more for that rather than retaking the subject tests.

thanks for your reply. Of course, now I’m focusing on SAT 1. IF I retake the SAT 2s, I’ll do it after receiving an excellent score at SAT 1 (i’m hoping for 2200+, but that’s a bit unlikely).

Are there any colleges that ask for ALL your SAT scores??

I can retake any of the SATs (1 or subject tests) as many times as I want, and choose the score to be sent, right?

certain colleges (some of the top ones) want all your scores (ie Cornell) but I’m not sure if they mean only all the SAT I scores or both of all SAT I & II.

ill see if i can find out cause im curious bout this too.

The colleges that do not acknowledge Score Choice require the submission of all scores (SAT I and SAT II). However, it is worth noting that you only need to submit the scores from one testing agency. That is, if you have taken the ACT, but deem the SAT to be a more constructive measure of your abilities, then there is no need to submit it (the ACT).

Can you address my situation/scenario(directly relates to your post above):
(I’m a junior)
I have taken the ACT twice, the better of the two being a 35(with 36s in Math and Science).
I’ve taken the SAT 2 for three subjects: 770 Math II, mid 700’s on Biology and Chemistry. I plan to take physics this June.
I’ve taken the SAT 1 twice. First time low 2100s. Second time was this March, and I expect around a 2250 to a 2300 with 800s in W and M.
I plan to apply to a few of the top 10 East Coast schools for engineering, which admittedly do value the SAT over the ACT.

Now the problem I have is whether to send just the ACT score, or all of my scores (ACT and all SAT scores). I don’t want my SAT II scores to go to waste, but I don’t want a lower SAT 1 score to hinder my app.

If you were in this situation, would you send everything or just the ACT score?

I would definitely recommend that you send your SAT II scores. I would not allow the results of your first SAT I to be a motive for not demonstrating your success on the Subject Tests (one of the many reasons why I dislike policies that do not accept Score Choice). Unfortunately, by rule, this will also require you to send every one of your SAT Reasoning Tests. To your favor, however, colleges claim to superscore test results so your 2100 should not hinder your application.

And of course, send your ACT scores (submission of one requires the submission of both). A 35 is a very favorable score.

So in your personal scenario, I would submit the entire range of tests from both agencies if Score Choice is not a viable option.

what if I take my first SAT just as a mock exam?? I mean, I know that my score on the 1st may sat won’t be so close to the score I aim for. Moreover, I won’t really make any preparations for the test, I’ll just practice a bit online

what about the TOEFL test? Can I choose the score I send?

Which colleges accept score choice?

Which colleges recommend you to send all scores?

Which colleges require all scores?

I realize that this may be the scenario for many students; unfortunately, colleges have no method of recognizing if this is the case. But I would certainly encourage you to practice a bit from the College Board Study Guide before your May sitting.

Below is a link to what I believe may answer your questions. However, the College Board website is undergoing some maintenance at the time of this post, so unfortunately I cannot verify if I am providing you with what you’re seeking.

what about the SAT2s?? I’ve taken maths lvl 2 (760) and physics (780), and i’m sure that will take more if I retake the tests, however, don’t wanna risk anything.

Are there any colleges that require all SAT2 scores?
