Should I send AP scores?

On my Amherst login, under “test summary,” it reports whether they’ve received your SATs, ACTs, etc. There is a heading for “Placement Tests,” which I assume means AP tests. Mine is blank because I haven’t sent any.

Were we supposed to submit AP results? I wrote mine in on the supplement, but I never sent them because most scores only require them for verification after you’ve been accepted. Was I wrong?

you don't need to send them in unless you're matriculating. just writing them down on the supplement is enough.

I sent mine but I don't think I was required to.

fire, but since you're going there already it doesn't hurt to get them in early. but you may just have to send it again when you take your APs this year.

My AP scores are on my transcipt, but they aren't listed on the Amherst site. My guess is that the admissions officers know your scores if you listed them either personally or through your high school, but they won't show up on your personal site unless they were sent through the College Board.

do ap scores count for advanced placing or credits at amherst? or are they just used as part of your evaluation for admission?

I think that APs are not given credit, but they are considered in the admissions process.
