Should I send AP test scores during the admission process?

Or should I wait till I get accepted and only send it to the school I’m attending? I’m only applying to UCs and Csus. I was also wondering if I have to send in all my act scores (because I took it twice) or just the better score since I did better the second time?

That’s a waste of money. No admissions office needs official AP scores to evaluate you. Send them only to the school you eventually choose in order to get credit.

CSU’s superscore so it is to your benefit to submit all ACT scores.

There is some disagreement about the UC’s when it comes to sending ACT scores. One poster whom called the UCLA admissions office was told that only the highest ACT score needs to be submitted, although on the website, it states all SAT scores are required for the UC’s but not specifically spelled out that all ACT scores are required.

I have gone through the CSU/UC admission process several times in the last 3 years and my recommendation is if the costs are not prohibitive in sending all your ACT scores, then send them since the UC’s will select the highest composite score from a single sitting and you meet the “inferred” requirement for all test scores.

AP scores can be self-reported and you will send your official scores only to the school you ultimately enroll on May 1.

@T26E4 is correct.

For the second part of your question, for UC’s, you send your highest ACT score from one test date (although you can send more if you want to spend the money). Other colleges might have different policies, so you should confirm.
