I'm applying to schools like Northwestern and Rice. I'm a good student, a 94% GPA, lots of extracurriculars, wonderful teacher recommendations, etc...

I don't know if I should send in both my standardized test scores. I have:

I have no SAT Subject Tests to send (but some schools require them, so Math I: 600, Math II: 600, Bio M: 610), because they're not good.

I like my ACT score, but would it be bad to send just that score? Would they assume that I DID take the SATs, but my scores are just bad? Or should I send them to show that I'm a better ACT-tester than an SAT-tester? I'm also sending these to other selective schools.

First of all, depending on where you’re applying, your SAT Subject scores aren’t bad.

Second, it also depends on where you’re applying to decide which scores to send in. I know the usual idea is that coasts (and Indiana) like SATs better, and everyone in the middle likes ACT, but at least on the east coast, the ACT is pretty widely acknowledged. You can always send in both, but I’d choose the ACT for everyone because a 32 looks a lot better than a 1980.

I can’t say it enough times, go to the college websites and carefully read their testing requirements and Score report policies. There are some generalities that can be made, but there are MANY exceptions too, and you don’t want to be caught lacking.
