It is not officially published material, but I wrote a paper (about 17 pages) for an internship I did and want to send it in... don't know if I should.

Also, would it be a bad idea to send in a music supplement. I'd say I'm advanced, but not "unusually talented".
THANKS!!

If it’s good and really reflects your writing, then go for it. I’m sending in one of my chapters for my senior thesis (60-page paper some of us seniors are writing - it’s an elective honors course), so I’m sure you could send in that. I would explain it in the additional information on the Common App just in case.

Duke Supplement specifically has room for a a research paper supplement but they ask that you summarize. I am sending my abstract, with a short explanation about what my research means to me, etc.

Yeah I wrote like a 2 paragraph thing on the question on the supplement that talks about if you did research. so you are sending in your abstract thru the mail?

haha no i wish i was that good; I decided not to send that in…but I’m going to send in my entire research paper thru the mail with a little cover letter type thing. But on the additional info section, I will indicate that I am sending it.
