Should I send in both my SAT and ACT to Highly Selective Universities?

I have a 36 on the ACT (11/12 essay) and a 1550 on my SAT (23/24 essay). Should I send both of these scores to highly selective universities or just the ACT which is perfect. Based on the conversion the 1550 is around a 35. Cost is not an issue.

Will colleges say “Oooooh, s/he did well on both the SAT and ACT”? No. Will you play coulda/woulda/shoulda if you get rejected later? Yes.

Since cost is not an issue, go ahead and send them. it will not make the difference between acceptance or rejection, but you will feel better. Good luck.

If you get ACT 36, you much have no weakness in any section. So it is unlikely to need another test score to compensate a weaker section score. Nevertheless, I do agree to submit both if money is not an issue. Also, if you are going to submit SAT2 scores, SAT would be included anyway. The submission of good SAT2 scores may actually help your chance at many top schools even if they just recommend it.
