I got a 2330 on the SAT the first time I took it (740 CR, 800 M, 790 W), but only got a 9/12 on the essay. The second time I took the SAT (not necessarily to improve my score, but to go for the Presidential Scholarship), I got a 2300 (740 CR, 770 M, 790 W) with an 11/12 on my essay. Should I send in the second score so my essay looks better, even though my math score dropped.

And yes, I realize this may be a ridiculous question, but I'm just trying to see what other people think.

Which school is this for? What is their policy wrt SATS? Their website or the SAT site will tell you this. Do they take your best indiv scores from all the dates? If so, i would send both in. If its an engineering school, I imagine they stress the science and math scores more than the writing. if a Liberal Arts school, the opposite?

This is just general advice, not knowing what school you are applying to.

Hope this helps. Your scores are excellent, regardless. Good Luck!
