My SAT score is currently a 2240 (superscored)- 770 CR, 740 M, 730 (12 essay) W
Is it worth it to send my 33 ACT- 33 E, 35 M, 33 R, 29 S

I'm applying to a few Ivies, Duke, Amherst etc. Any advice would be much appreciated!

A 2240 on the SAT translates to roughly a 33-34 on the ACT, so you could send it, it wouldn’t hurt.

i would definitely say send it. first off, they’re in the same range, so it couldn’t hurt. secondly, depending on where you look, a 33 might be higher than a 2240. i think according to the university of california data table a 33 might be better. i know because my 2260 was barely a 33. but according to collegeboard, my 2260 is a solid 34 on the act, so who knows.

thanks a lot guys! I think I’ll send it in, and will the 29 in Science really hurt me, considering that I hope to major in a Science-related field

oh… hm. i know for the sat that colleges can see your subscores. i don’t know about the act, but they’ll probably be able to see that you got a 29 there.

i’m not so sure now…
maybe don’t send it then? i don’t know

well i mean, a 29 isn’t horrible lol. it just isn’t the best.

bump 10char

I would skip it. Especially since you are planning on going into a science related field.
Did you take SAT IIs in Math and Science? As long as these are solid I don’t think you need the ACT scores.

other opinions would be appreciated

I sent both my 2200 and my 33 into Tufts. along with a couple 700 SATIIs. It didn’t hurt, I’m sure.
