I got a 33 composite score on my ACT, and a 1960 on my SAT, should i send both of my scores or just my ACT because it is a higher score relatively speaking. I am applying to Umich, Northwestern, Boston College, NYU, Miami of Ohio, Indiana University... and my GPA is not the highest so i want my test scores to be the best they can be.
Thanks!

Send the ACT, since a 33 on the ACT is a significantly better score than a 1960 on the SAT. I’m not sure what you consider a GPA of “not the highest” to mean. I will tell you that at Boston College, NYU, and Northwestern they will want your GPA to be strong as well.

My GPA is a 3.33 unweighted, but my fist few semesters killed me. My transcript looks something like this

freshman- 3.0, 3.0
sophomore- 3.15, 3.45
Junior- 3.45, 3.9

I have 3.9 right now in senior year with 4 AP’s. 7AP’s total and all advanced classes

Your GPA situation is certainly not going to work to your advantage.

However, definitely send the ACT. Pretend you never took the SAT.

A 33 ACT is close to a 2200 (converted to the SAT scale). Your SAT is 1960. A difference of 200+ points definitely tells you that you should just send the ACT.

ok thanks i will definitely only send my ACT score. And i know i screwed up on my GPA, but i did all i could to raise it up when i finally got smart and realized how important it is.

hopefully my 1st semester grades turn out good and that helps my chances
