My family used to live in PA. and I love Pittsburgh so I applied to U of Pitt.

I sent SAT scores (from two sittings): CR: 740; M: 790; W: 780 along with my two SAT subject tests: Math II: 800 and Biology: 750.

My ACT composite score is 35. but I have not yet sent my ACT score.

I hope I can qualify for merit scholarship at U of Pitt. Should I send my ACT score to increase my chance or my SAT scores are pretty much comparable to ACT's and it will not make any difference.

Your opinions and comments are welcome...

For those who already received acceptance letters, CONGRATULATIONS!

I wouldn’t send the ACT if I was short on money. Otherwise, it can only help. You’re definitely in with honors and likely full tuition if your GPA is consistent with your test scores.

Have you considered applying to one of the graduate school guarantees?

Morningrain: I would send both SAT and ACT scores. It will not hurt, let U of Pitt decide which one to use for their admission and scholarship decisions. Both of your SAT and ACT scores are great.

Judging from what Pitt has given out in the past, you’re in line for a full-tuition scholarship and would be invited to compete for the Chancellor’s (full-tuition, room, board, for four years).

[Chancellor’s Scholarship](http://www.honorscollege.pitt.edu/opportunities/chan-scholarship.html)

No need to send the ACT, in my opinion.
