Should I send my ACT scores to colleges the 1st time I take it?

I'm a Junior in high school, and I'm taking my 1st ACT this December.
Actually, I took it once in 7th grade, but that doesn't count.

Anyways, I'm registering online, and I see that it allows you to select 4 colleges/universities to which you want to send your scores. Will my scores be sent to those picks before I even get to see them? If yes, is it a good idea to send them since it's my 1st time taking the test?

P.S.-- I'm aiming for 34+. Any tips?

It depends. If you are sure you can get a respectable score, then by all means you should use this and send the scores to different colleges. If you’re doubtful about whether you’ll get a good score then you shouldn’t.
However do keep in mind that if you select the colleges, then ACT will give you a score report which will have those recipient colleges and its details(e.g Freshman Class GPA, ACT Scores, Tution, Financial Aid,Opted Major). This is an added benifit.
P.s I sent my first time’s score aswell.

There are some schools that require you to send in all test scores ever taken. If some of these schools are on your list, you can choose them.
