Should I send my low SAT II Subject Test score to the UC's?

In November I took 3 SAT Subject Tests: Math Level II, Physics, and Chemistry. For prospective Computer Science majors the UC's I'm applying to recommend the Math Level II and a science test. Unsure of which science I would do better on, I decided to take both the physics and chemistry test, hoping that one test would receive a satisfactory score that I could send.

When the scores arrived my Math Level II and Physics test scores were acceptable (760 and 650 respectively), but my Chemistry score was less than stellar to say the least (520). However, I had previously set my scores to be automatically sent to the UC Berkely (sending the scores to one UC shares it with all others), so they will have already received the scores by now.

The question is, should I self report the Chemistry test score or not? Because it has already been sent, they will no doubt receive it, but I'm curious as to whether they will even view it when reviewing my application if I don't report it. If I do self report it, should I use the extra-information writing section to explain the score?

Thank you in advance for any help and advice.

Since you already arranged to send it, I’d say sending it yourself won’t make any difference. However, if it makes you feel better, my sister got into UCLA school of engineering with a 660 Math II and a 530 Physics score. Just thought this would be reassuring that sub-par subject test scores won’t kill your chances at UC’s.

Thanks for the advice, I think I will self report it. And yes it is reassuring, seeing as I am applying to the UCLA so that’s good to hear your sister got in, especially when some of my friends are saying they got 800’s on their subject tests.
