Should I send my quarter grades even though I am not asked to send one?

Hi guys! I applied Bryn Mawr College as ED1 and anxiously waiting for the results.

I heard that when the admissions officer ask a student's quarter grade, that means the student is on the border line of the acceptance and denial. I asked my guidance counselor if they asked mine, but they didn't and she was asking me if I want her to send my grades to the BMC office.
Would that be a good idea if I send my quarter grades when I am not asked to?
The thing is my gpa is sort of low (UW 3.34, W 3.78...) and I am an ASIAN!!!! my race bothers me so much. it feels like I am supposed to have better grades. but I got straight As for the 1st quarter of my senior year.
If I send the grades, I will also include a cover letter kind of thing that explains my efforts and hardworking.

What do you guys think??

Your guidance counselor should send the first quarter transcript. I see no reason not to have her do that. It’s a pretty normal thing for EA/ED applications. And as you point out, it strengthens your applications to show this upward trend.

Since your quater grades are strong and show improvement toward your GPA, ask your GC to send. You can write a brief email alerting your admissions rep to be on the look out.
