Should I send my subject test scores even if a school doesn't require them?

Is there any benefit? My scores weren't great: 700 in us history, 690 in math 1, 640 in lit. Should I not bother to waste the money to send them to schools that don't require them? Is it enough just to report them on the common app? They will already see that I got a 4 in ap us history, 4 in ap Lang, and 3 in ap calc ab.

As long as they accept them, send them. Generally you want to send the school everything they consider unless there is a compelling reason not to. Also, the school may requrie you to send all scores, which means you have to send the scores if you took the tests.

Your scores are fine. Students always get sticker shock when they compare their SAT IIs to the SAT. The SAT IIs are generally lower because the pool of students that take them is more advanced. SAT IIs are mostly used for selective admissions, so its the smart cookies that pursue those tests.

alright thank you!

alright thank you!

If you have an SAT score you need to send, sending SAT II does not add to the cost.
