Should I Send SAT II Scores?

I took two subject tests this past June and did not do very well. 660 on Bio M and 720 on US History. My question is simple: do I send these scores, or would I be better off without them?

I am a senior, so the deadline is quickly approaching.

I took the AP exam for both subjects and got a 4 on both and all As in both subjects. I was selected by faculty as the best science student out of the entire student body my junior year. I have taken Physical Science, Biology I, Chemistry, Physics, Honors Biology, AP Biology, Honors Environmental Sciences, and AP Environmental Science. I took WHAP, APUSH, Honors US Gov, AP US Gov, and I am credit flexing AP European History currently. Basically, my schedule has been dominated by science and social studies classes. Do my scores contradict this?

I am sending my ACT scores instead of SAT. I have a 33 composite (36 E, 27 M, 36 CR, 33 S). I am applying as a Public Health major.

I am not making excuses, but my school poorly prepares students for the college application process. I didn’t even know what a subject test was until this past April when I saw that JHU recommended two tests. I was the only person in my high school of +1000 to take a single SAT II last year.

Thanks for reading this, and I would appreciate any input!

@mray04 Your scores are simply not good – many (on here) will praise them, but a 660 and 720 are not impressive.

However, when JHU says they recommend tests, take that to mean “take them and send them.” If you only send one, they’ll assume you did poorly on another one, or just didn’t care to take another one (neither option is good). If you don’t send any, you might be able to get away with “can’t take because of financial difficulty” but that would need to be true AND conveyed by your guidance counselor.

Send them! Good luck.

@AcrobatX I scored a 720 on Bio M and 770 on Math II should I send these or none at all because it is optional?
