I took the ACT in October and scored 32 Composite (29E 30R M34 S34) and also in December but hopes are not high.
I also took the SAT Subject Test in December but it didn't go quite well. I had asthma and could not study as I should have.
Bio M 700
Math II 650
Physics 650

I am interested in BioMedical Engineering and will be applying to the following:
Stanford University
Vanderbilt University
Washington University in St Louis
University of Miami
Lehigh University
Trinity College
Boston University
Lafayette College
Gannon University

Should I send the SAT Subject Test scores or what?

LeGhost, I’m not sure if I agree with the advice you’ve been given.

Percentile is a poor way to compare ACT and SAT2 scores, because the populations are vastly different.

If you score in the 95th percentile on the ACT (or SAT 1) you scored higher than 95% of all students who are contemplating attending college. Some are Sophomores giving the test a practice run, and some will not attend any college at all, much less a selective-admissions school.

If you score in the 40th percentile of Math II test takers, however, you “beat” 40% of a vastly different group. These are probably top performers who have taken advanced math in High School and feel confident about taking this test because they are trying to get into top STEM schools.

Looking at percentiles alone is an apples to oranges comparison, IMO.

I think the answer is more nuanced. These are probably scores you don’t want to send to Stanford, but would be fine for BU and Miami. I’d try going to the sub forums for each individual college and ask there.

@bouders Thank you. I will be giving it again most probably then. I did not want to give Physics (as I had not studied a word) but at the center, I was told that cancelling one test would result in cancellation of all.

@TR250Tom Thank you too. Yes I believe it is better to not send scores to Stanford. Vandebilt and WUSTL only “consider” it. I’m worried about Lafayette and Lehigh.
