Should I send them a recording?

I'm applying Cornell Engineering this year with an Early decision, but I have a concern.

Personally, I enjoy singing a lot; however, I'm not THAT good at it.

Many people actually compliment my talent but I have never taken lessons and played musical instruments for long time so occasionally I tend to go off key.

I think I will be able to sing a song very compellingly and beautifully with many practices.

And by sending the admission office my recording, I would be able to express myself more and show that I have been devoted to singing.

However, some people advised me that sending them a musical supplement would have an adverse effect unless I'm significantly more talented than any other applicant.

I'm not very confident.

Do you guys think it would help, or at least not be a disadvantage, for me to send them a musical supplement?
