Should I send these mid-year grades?

They weren't requested, but should I send them anyway?

My school is on the block system, so I only took 3 classes first semester, and my grades were:

AP Economics - A-
AP Government - A
Spanish II - A

What do you guys think? Does the A- indicate that I shouldn't send them, seeing as I only took 3 classes and yet still got an A-? (Really hard class to get an A OR A- in at my school [most have C's and D's, I think], but the USC admissions officers obviously won't know that, so...:/)

the USC admissions counselor assigned to my son’s school told him not to include plusses and minuses on his self-reported grades (when he first applied), so I’m assuming he won’t include them on mid-year grades either.

Why wouldn’t you send these in? USC doesn’t count minuses anyhow. And AP Econ is REALLY hard, I’m struggling to get a A-…

I think you should send them in. They’re good grades.
And I’m glad to know I’m not the only one taking Spanish II senior year!

Thanks for the replies, guys! But they do want you to put pluses and minuses; it says here on the mid-year thing:

Grade: List in these fields the letter or numerical grade earned for each course. Include plus/minus marks and special marks for pass, not passed, withdrawal, incomplete, etc., exactly as they are shown on your report Card.

:-/

Are you honestly moaning over an A- in AP?

hmmm. Eiffel, that’s odd. I guess they suddenly want plusses and minuses. I’m sure my son was told not to include them on his initial app.

@Cowman, well, I’m happy with it but I just wonder if it looks bad because I only took three classes (only 2 AP) and still got an A-, you know? It’s not like I was taking 5 AP classes and got an A-…So that’s why I’m not sure.

@Jazz, I’m pretty sure they didn’t want pluses and minuses on the initial app, but that they want them on the mid-year grades for whatever reason. I think it’s kind of strange too.

Hooray! My school doesn’t give plusses or minuses. All of our grades are just the letter. I had a lot of A minuses otherwise.

^Oh, yeah, that’s true…some schools don’t give pluses and minuses. That might mean that USC won’t hold minuses against someone…I hope. XD
