Hey everyone,

Should I send in a teacher reccomendation along with my mid-year grades? I have an A in calc and since I'm transfering into Wharton, I was wondering If I should have my teacher also fill out a rec. form? Penn has a total of 4 teacher reccomendations as of right now.

What does everyone think? Will it help/hurt?

-Thanks

I'm not the expert, but I'm pretty sure that four is already overboard. I feel like five would kind of be pushing the envelope, and sending one with a mid-year report doesn't seem like the appropriate time for trying to grow your file even more.

unless you've had strong personal relationships with each of these professors, i doubt that the content of their recommendations is all that different (which is the reason that more is not necessarily better) - and therefore, adding another reasonably repetitive recommendation doesn't help at all, especially if it's a rehash of your transcript

way excessive already. don't do it.
