This fall I plan to apply to UC Davis. I checked my AP scores and I received a 5 on us history, 3 in AP Lang, and 3 in AP Bio.I will send the APUSH score for sure but I’m not sure if I should send AP Bio. I plan on applying as either a bio or neuroscience major. Would the 3 reflect badly toward my application?

no don’t send it now, as it will show a negative impression about you. send it only after you find out whether you were admitted or not.

Your AP scores aren’t a factor in admission. All the actual scores are used for is for determining how many units you have coming in. With APs, the only thing that matters for admissions is the grade you got in the class.

As an example, I got a 2 on the Spanish Language test and I’ll be a sophomore this coming year. It really doesn’t matter except for units and possibly getting out of a class or two.

APs are self-reported on applications, you only need to send the official score once admitted.

If you class is designated “AP” though, admissions may be puzzled why no score is mentioned in the app.
