Should I Send This With My Apps?

I participated on a game show for my school.

Since I am writing an essay about Quiz Bowl being my most meaningful activity, and this show is tied into my quiz bowl participation, I was just wondering if I should send a DVD of the show?

Bump…?

i would say don’t send it.

No. They don’t have time to look at a video of a game show. Just write your essay about what you want them to know.

I’d say no, and I agree with Northstarmom.

I don’t think so. Just try to paint a really good picture with your essay.

It’s up to you. They might like it because not many kids do it and it’s a fun, yet academic, thing. I would certainly mention it at least. You might get a chuckle out of an admission officer, ha. But that’s just my 2 cents. Ask your GC, maybe?

Make sure that your essay doesn’t fall into the category of the overused, cliched essay topics: “The big game that I won,” and “The big game that I lost.”

Thanks for the pointers, y’all.

I will not send this with my apps. I think I will still use it as a topic for the mini-essay on the Common App, though.
