Should I send?

In October, I got 630Writ, 680Chem, and 660U.S.History.
and all those scores went to my colleges... meaning it is not required of me to send any more, but I stillcan if I want.
Well ,I'm applying to Cornell, Middlebury, Williams, Colby, and Bowdoin as a Biology Major.

In January I received 650writing, 670MathIC, and 640 BiologyE.

Should I send the new ones in or jsut forget about them? I am tihnking no because I'll be competing with peeps who have 750 bio and 800's and stuff/

Thanks!!

you should, a 20 point improvement on writing and that's what counts, regardless of your bio (better than mine by 10 points lol, i am applying for bio as well at cornell), what did you get SAT I?
omg, look wat i just noticed, all your scores can be organized,
630,640,650,660,670,680 lol
so you got 655 avg, that's not very good, but you are international, so i doubt they'll care much about your verbal, hopefully we'll get in to cornell and we'll get to meet each other :) good luck

lol.. I'm not internatioal, and my verbal SATI was 740 :-P. I have 680M 740V... but I am worried about this (I'm from Rome, NY not Italy :-P) because it is a fairly low score compared to other peoples' you know... sooo... blah, it's a sucky dilemma

and I hope we both get into Cornell and can meet eachother too. Thanks for the luck, right back at ya! :-)

wuts a good ave. for SATII's?

i'd say a 700 would be decent, i knoow that's high, and i am having trouble reaching it, but if you look around on CC, many ppl have much higher. we are in for huge competition

Most of the people on CC are in the top % of the SATII and SATI scores. To compare yourself to CC people and feel bad is ridiculous.

Correct. If you look at the "averages" thread, you will notice that this board is hovering around the mid-1400s. That is far above the "national average."

That is above the average for many top universities.

not really, considering the avg at top schools such as Harvard, Princeton, Yale etc. consist of many great athelets who have brought down the SAT avg, however, if you would take out famous ppl, athelets, Alumnis' kids and all the other that had acquired entrance without stats. the SAT would hover around mid to low 1500s.
therefore, the CC avg, is pretty much the avg for top schools. and plus, even with top SATs, some CCers are still rejected. therefore, to ignore the CCer scores is to ignore the truth that one is a less competitive applicant. (plz note, i am not a high scorer lol)

There are plenty of individuals with scores between a 1400 and 1500 that are admitted into Yale, Harvard and so forth, and most do not possess legacy status, celebrity status, or athletic status. There are only a handful of famous individuals that are admitted into Ivys and such a low number is not enough to pull the average down from the low 1500s to the low 1400s.

do the bumpty bump
