Should I seriously reschedule my ACT date?

okay, I am supposed to take the ACTs tomorrow but I just dont feel like I am prepared at all...as in I didnt do any real preparation.
On top of that, I am sick :( and have been so for the past week.
Should I just suck it up and take the test or just reschedule it for December? I was just worried about wasting money

help :frowning:
…

Are you a senior in high school applying to college this year?
If you are a senior i would probably suggest taking it (if its not already your like 5th time) because then you will be in a must-do-well situation in december.
I had mono when i took the ACT in october and had a huge baseball game the night before, still scored pretty well, but I am taking it tomorrow again.

even with no prep?
okay i might

and yes i am a senior

IMO, turn off your computer and get to bed. Stop dwelling on your lack of prep, you can’t do anything to change this tonight. Wake up in time to shower and get a good breakfast.

You can also change your admission ticket on line to NOT send scores. After scores are posted, then decide if you want to send scores. If you do better, pay the fees and send the scores. If you did not improve, you don’t have to worry that schools saw you had a bad test result. Since this is your Senior year, tomorrow’s scores are the last scores most colleges will accept for 2011 Admission decisions. If your scores go up, kudos! If not, dust your self off and accept your fate.

My youngest scored 34 in April. He is retaking the ACT in the morning for one reason only… he would like to see if he can score the same or higher than his brother who has a 35 composite. Tomorrows scores are not being sent to any school (other than his HS). This is a case of well respected sibling rivalry. Our boys are very close. If the youngest earns bragging rights, so be it. Everyone involved is on the same page.

For what it is worth, the youngest had to take the PSAT last Oct even though he had Swine Flu. I was sitting in the school parking lot waiting to take him home as soon as he was done. He just missed the cut off for NMF by a few points. He was disappointed with the results but we all knew he did his best.

thanks for the advice  this is why i love CC
i took it and i felt good about it

glad to hear that.
