Should I SIR to UCR too, as a backup

In case my acceptance to UCD gets rescinded?
I'd be out a hundred dollars . . .
But if I don't get into Davis I don't want to spend another year at community college. It would be my fourth year and I think it would break my spirit and really mess me up.

Sorry to bring it up again after I made a thread about it a few days ago, but I know now that I'm getting a 3.0 transferable GPA (3 B's and one possible D in an non-transferable class), does anyone else who didn't answer the first time around want to weigh in? What should I offer to do? Take another non transferable class over the summer? I mean, it's non-transferable . . .

So should I just SIR to UCR just in case they do rescind me??

I’m not sure you can SIR to two schools… It is written on the University website that you can’t… I’m not sure if it will catch up w/ you or not…

You may want to call admissions first thing tomorrow morning.

i don’t think you can

Seriously? I thought people did it all the time :O

same here…i got till the 17th to decide if i wanna go to ucd or not!!! im deciding between ucd or ucsd for biochem major…wht do u think?

^How do you have until the 17th? Were you admitted through an appeal or what?
I don’t know which school is better for biochem, but I chose Davis over SD because it had a better English program and I really liked Davis when I visited. Have you been to both campuses?

Which do you like better?

ya, i got into davis thru the appeal process. i like davis coz i have friends but i dont really like the city coz there’s nothing to do, unlike ucsd and la jolla.

contact an admission’s counselor…

and if you do get rescinded… no worries, take the year off to work and do internships. It’s not a wasted year, it’s a prep year. You’d have to be struggling to do internships after you graduate anyway, so why not do it now?
