Should I skip a level of my language class?

<p>I am taking Latin in high school, and four levels of it are offered as follows: 1, 2 honors, 3 honors, and 4 AP. I was wondering if I should skip either Latin 2 or Latin 3 if I get the chance.</p>

<p>Pros to skipping:</p>

<p>Open up room in my senior year schedule for a class at community college
Increase GPA since I'm taking one less honors class and the majority of my schedule is AP/GT
Able to take AP Latin exam and the Latin Sat 2 Exam before applications</p>

<p>Cons:</p>

<p>May potentially miss a lot of material.
May potentially be required to take a summer course in order to skip
MAY POTENTIALLY LOOK BAD TO COLLEGES BECAUSE I'M ONLY TAKING A LANGUAGE FOR 3 YEARS?</p>

<p>I was wondering if the CC community could help me out.</p>

<p>Highest level completed typically matters more.</p>

<p>But skipping a level is typically a bad idea, since each level builds on the previous level.</p>
