I've never been particularly good at chemistry. I took AP chem my senior year and got a 4 on the test, meaning I am eligible to skip intro chem and gen chem lab. Would it be in the best interest of my GPA to skip intro chem again and gen chem lab (which I've heard is very difficult) or skip the courses...? basically are these two classes hard enough that I should avoid retaking them to get a good grade or is it doable to get an A in both?
thank you for your help.

I don’t know how many current students are on this forum nowadays, and many of the alums (myself included) are 5+ years out from freshman year, so I would recommend asking on the Hopkins forums or the facebook group where you’ll get a better answer from people who are closer to freshmen chemistry.

I took AP Chemistry this year (junior year) and received a 5 on the exam. I’m planning on following a pre-med track in high school, and I actually plan to take an Intro Chem course in college. There’s no sense in not taking it because I’m sure the way my school teaches it will be different from the way my instructor taught it this year. Also, if you already have a good sense of the subject material, it will help support your GPA.
