Should I skip physics 1 and 2 at tech? ECE major

I am going to major in EE or EC (most likely EE) and was wondering if should just go ahead and skip physics 1 and 2 because i got a 4 on both the AP exams.

There seems to be no real "physics" class after those 2, just ECE courses.

Thanks!

That’s interesting - I guess they changed it to allow 4’s, they used to require 5s for physics.

While it’s borderline hysterical that you term EE classes as not real “physics” classes, you’ll basically relearn all of physics in your EE classes (because all of phys 1-2 is based on magical assumptions that simplify the equations, and to do EE, you need to not make those assumptions), so you can skip them without much trouble. I would definitely recommend it personally!

I meant not ‘real’ in a high school sense where a physics class meant learning a bunch of general concepts across multiple fields XD

what do you mean by ‘magical assumptions that simplify the equations’?

I think he is referring to the fact that in high school physics, and even being AP Physics most times you make certain assumptions, such as Oh this object is massless, or this surface is frictionless, or air resistance doesn’t exist. That or it is Newtownian Physics and that only works in certain situations.
