Should i skip Pre-calculus?

I am currently a 10th grader that is attending a British international school. Next year i plan to move to the American international school so i can do AP's instead of A Levels (British equivalent). The only problem with this transition is the fact that i dont know which maths class i'll place into (which is really important since its my strongesr subject and also because i plan to major in finance therefore i need to take the most advanced math classes). At my current school our maths classes are divided up in terms of ability. I am in the top set which means i am a year ahead of my peers. I know i have completed Algebra I, Geometry & Algebra II however the maths course i am taking now is IGCSE Additional Maths. I think most of the topics taught on trig etc are the equivalent of precal as i am have looked at the other schools precal syllabus.

Can you guys please look at both the syllabuses and tell me if i am covering all the essential prerequisite topics i need for AP Calculus AB as i prefer to take that next year.

IGCSE Additional Maths (Refer to pages 9-12): http://www.cie.org.uk/images/88852-2014-syllabus.pdf

Precalculus:https://docs.google.com/file/d/0BxDE6CXd91JhR0lzc1g3bHhwb0k/edit

You’ll have to know your trig (unit circle, identities, etc). Honestly, I think you could probably skip Precalculus and be just fine in Calc AB. I just finished my first semester of Calc AB and I find I didn’t really use a whole lot of what I learned in Precalculus. But again. I’m only half way through.

Precalc is so easy to skip. I jumped from Algebra 2 to Multivariable Calculus. I skipped Precalc, Calc AB and Calc BC.

Okay, thanks for the advice. How much of AP Calculus AB do you think i’ll have covered (differentiation and integration) from the course im doing? Here is an outline:

Bump. Can someone please answer my question?

Are you trying to skip AP Calc AB and go to BC, because at most schools AB isn’t a prerequisite for BC. If your new school follows the Calc BC curriculum specified by college board, then BC will cover everything you would have learned in AB.

No, im trying to see if i’ll be allowed to skip pre cal as apparently i’ve been told the differentiation and integration in our syllabus covers half of Calculus AB. Skipping to Calculus BC is not an option as it is the hardest maths course in the school and taking it in 11th grade would mean i wont be able to do math is 12th grade (they dont have AP stats). And since i live in the middle east i wont be able to take classes at community college or whatever since they don’t exist where i live.
