Should I start preparing the RD apps while I wait for my ED school decision?
So I can send them off on dec 15th if I am rejected?

Absolutely!

yes you should. if you get deferred, you're gonna have a hard time preparing for the rest. if you prefer, you can complete everything, but don't submit payment yet until the 15th. :)

YES. If you don't get in, you probably won't be in any mood to think about other apps and it'll be nice to be able to do nothing more than pick up the stack of envelopes and drive to the post office. If you get in, it's a bit of time wasted, but I think it's worth the peace of mind and you'll probably be happy enough you'll forget the time you spent entirely.

Yes of course! You must be operating under the assumption that you will not be accepted, unless you are applying ED to a safety.

even if you are applying under the assumption you will get in, do it anyway, I didnt start any of my 6 RD apps untill dec 20th (because of finals after the decision) and so yeah, my winter break was awful.

I see..

what you mean I will leave everything prepared...

Thanks

Also in fasirness to your guidance counselor and teachers writing recs you can't just leave it to the last minute, you need to proceed as if you will send those apps.

Would it be OK to have guidance and teachers submit documentation prior to your application? In that case, you can submit applications in mid December, if necessary. You can have the applications ready to go, whether via online application or paper.

that's okay. after all, you didn't reapply apply unitl you sumbit the forms. i will have all my recommendations, essays and transcripts ready by dec 15. then i'll see whther i need to send the fees or not. :)
