Should I stay or should I go

Ok.. so I'm a junior in HS.

Currently, I'm a IB Diploma Student in my school.
It's fun, but being in HL 1 is boring when I'm already in Calculus BC online.

Just recently, a friend told me that I could still go to my county's Governor's School thing for Science, Math, and Engineering.

The Governor's School @ Innovation Park - Index

There's the link.

That would be for my Senior year, however.

My question is, should I do it?

I mean I could further my Math and Chemistry and Physics study,

but I would no longer be able to take Computer Science.

I would stop doing diploma, but get a lot of research and mentoring capabilities.

Should I do it?

SPLIT!!!

I expect HarryJones to get this reference

What difference does it make?

It’s one year. I personally wouldn’t do it as I doubt one year would make a huge difference.

Basically, the thing allows me to be dual enrolled at a college, taking more science and math.

Also get to take MVC and Linear Algebra… and a lot of research and mentorship things.

I totally would, you don’t seem to be emotionally weak, and can handle the environmental change and you’d accelerate and have something to flaunt to asian girls about, though trufflipuff will still hate you, lolol

Just as a side note, I would come back to my school to take like 2 classes.

Probably History and English.

I can “Attempt” to get special privilege for HL, since the teacher likes me.

LOL truffliepuff.

Why flaunt to girls?

I got nothing left to prove.

Any other thoughts?

Woah.
Huge question.
Remember that if you are no longer a diploma then you are a certificate student. Which= 2 classes (I think…)
But if you did the research, would you just be doing like labs and stuff or like working with real proffesionals?

If you knew the answer what would it be?

^^

Certificate is any IB Class I take an exam in.

And^ I don’t know. I’m just looking for opinions.

Switching senior year is rough.

You’re already going to be extremely stressed out by college admissions. You’re going to need to go back to your old school for teacher recommendations. Any of the leadership that you’d have earned at your school for your EC’s, you’d lose.

I’m not saying don’t do it. I’m just saying look at the consequences.

[Every time I see this thread of think of this](<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube) ■■■■■!

I do come back to my school around 11 to rake 2 classes. And I still would do the same ECs.

Do it. I thought you meant completely leaving your school. Dude, think about it this way.

More amazing classes

Better research opportunities

College credit

You will still go to your old school for some classes and thus will be able to get recommendations from old teachers easier

It seems like a great option.

Don’t you hate your high school anyway? go for it.

My school loves me for some reason.
And I’ve found people that I like here but…
Such a decision…

Yeah, you’re not really going away from your HS–just replacing a segment of your HS experience with more challenging classes and a new environment. I don’t see what you have to lose, aside from the IB diploma.
