should i still apply?

should i still apply to UCLA as a econ or bizecon major if I can't finish 2nd semester calc by spring?

ill have all reqs and igetc done by this fall, except i wont be eligible to take 2nd semester calc until summer of 08

no... don't apply! You won't get in w/ missing a pre-req class. You must finish all pre-req by spring. You should choose a differnet major or apply for 09 fall!

Second that XX

Last round fall 07 transfers, many on this board were denied admission because of missing prereqs for the bizecon/econ major

so i shouldnt even bother to apply?

Biz Econ is very competitive, you must finish Calc 2 before you you transfer. I'd say apply for fall 2009, but you can always test your luck for the fall 2008 quarter.

its 60 dollars and a little bit of your time. seems like a fair trade if you got in to me. make sure your essays are really good and that you are absolutely up to par on preparing to transfer in all other areas.

you miss 100 percent of the shots you do not take.

what if i were to take calc 1 during winter and calc 2 during spring?

Find a cc on the quarter system. There are not many of them, but it may be your best chance.

just apply unless you can't afford the fee cause you'll just kick yourself later for wondering "what if" "what if"

Plus if your essays/ECs are amazing, you never know :)

Yeah definitely apply if you can afford it. The accounting sequence might knock a few people off. We don't know your other stats, ecs/work history/etc. But I would recommend taking calc2 if you can substitute it for say a GE course that makes you IGETC certified.
